For two years, a Toulouse driver received unemployment benefits while working. The man admitted the facts after a police investigation and will have to reimburse the sum unfairly received.

The fake unemployed scam worked for two years. From June 2019 to September 2021, this driver, from Toulouse , received the handsome sum of 40,000 euros in allowances unemployment .

However, the 39-year-old was not unemployed. He works as a driver in the field of logistics, indicate our colleagues from 20 Minutes who report the information.

A while ago, employment center Occitanie finally discovered the Toulouse scam. Last August, the establishment in charge of employment filed a complaint with the police. The latter, after investigation, had summoned the man to its premises on Monday, September 12.

The 30-year-old has admitted the facts and will be summoned to the courthouse in May 2023 during an appearance on prior admission of guilt. In the meantime, the man will have to repay the 40,000 euros received from unemployment benefits.
