A dog from a shelter has adopted a habit that will not fail to soften you: she loves to be tucked in when the establishment closes for the night.
Cuteness alert! Sandy, an elderly dog who was taken in by a refuge , has developed a ritual as moving as it is adorable: getting tucked in every night. Volunteers hope the pooch will quickly find a new, loving family.

A friendly and kind dog
The 10-year-old hairball has been living at the Know County Humane Society (Illinois, USA) for nearly a year, the shelter said in a Facebook post earlier this week.
The message was accompanied by a series of photos showing the dog with beige coat wrapped in her blankets: “ Since she's been here, Sandy has gotten used to being tucked in every night (…) She's been looking forward to this moment “, explained the staff on the social network.

The quadruped was taken care of by the establishment because its owner fell ill. Keneshia Martin, the employee who tucks Sandy in and takes her picture, said the dog must have picked up the habit in her old home.
For her part, the director, Erin Buckmaster, described the female dog as being ' very sweet and friendly '. She says Sandy's long stay at the shelter is an example of how difficult it is to find homes for senior dogs.
« L it is senior dogs are of no interest to anyone “, she told HuffPost. ' When we have puppies, everyone fights for them '. She hopes people will learn about Sandy and realize how great older dogs can be.

« Our dream is for her to have her own forever home, where she would be lined up every night », at the end of the guideline.
