For us French people, seeing snow seems normal, but this is not the case for everyone. In recent days, the reaction of a Zimbabwean seeing snow for the first time has stirred the internet.

Recently arrived in the United Kingdom to join his wife, Noel Bako could not hide his joy when he discovered the white coat that fell on the small British town of Malvern, located south-west of Birmingham, in the county of Worcestershire. Consequently, the images of the 27-year-old man taking his first steps in the snow quickly made the rounds of the web.

Noel left his native country in June for the England where he moved in with his wife Jaima, 29, whom he met in 2019 during a visit to a nature reserve in Gweru, Zimbabwe. He worked as a manager of orders for equipment and supplies within an association and his future wife was carrying out a mission as a volunteer in the same organization.

In the aftermath, once her mission was completed, she flew back to the United Kingdom. But she finally decided to return to Zimbabwe in January 2021 to kill two birds with one stone, namely to do another volunteering assignment and spend time with Noel. “I was working and I saw that she was looking at me. She approached me and took the first step” does he have. And she adds: “We immediately fell in love. It's hard to explain, but I knew I was attracted to him from the start. »

A very touching reaction

Noel will therefore have waited only a few months to see with his own eyes what the snow looks like in real life. And his testimony on this subject is particularly touching: “I felt like a baby for the very first time seeing the snow. Honestly, I wanted to cry I was so moved. I had seen snow on TV, but I thought maybe it was wrong. I felt like I was on TV seeing her here. I can't wait for it to snow really hard. »

The couple got married in March 2021 and applied for a spouse visa, which was accepted by the British administration in June. Today, the lovers are totally fulfilled in their new life.
