And for good reason, it includes and classifies many artists and groups of rock according to their influence. Created by the Dorothy studio, the poster titled « Alternative Love Blueprint - A History of Alternative Music » has just been published. To organize the connections between the groups, the designer based the poster on the circuit board of a transistor radio. For this new design, the graphic designer chose to use the Regency TR-1 system, the first commercially available transistor radio, for symbolic reasons. Little anecdote, the model was released in 1954, the year Bill Haley & His Comets recorded « Rock Around the Clock » .

An intelligent poster

Much like YouTube or Spotify's algorithms would, the Alternative Love Blueprint uses musical connections to identify listening recommendations. “If you like a band, you might like that other band because they frequent the same scene, have members in common, or have influenced each other” can we read on Dorothy's website. This way of proceeding makes it possible to discover artists who are likely to please us and thus perfect one's culture on the theme of music . Awesome, isn't it? Count 40 euros to get the poster.
