Focus today on the completely crazy bet launched by a thirty-something Frenchman: to build Hogwarts castle for real!

There are those for whom growing up and becoming an adult should not be an excuse to forget their childish soul.

And it is not Valérian Lasseyte, 32, who will come to contradict us!

This videographer residing in Aubagne (Bouches-du-Rhône) is an absolute fan of Harry Potter . A passion that has never left him since he discovered the famous magician, born from the imagination of J.K Rowling, at the age of 11.

The thirty-year-old is so keen (unless he's 'Muggle') that he has the rather crazy project of building a life-size replica of the castle of Hogwarts , the iconic school of wizards.

This Harry Potter fan wants to build Hogwarts castle

This completely crazy idea came to him by making a simple but relentless observation: insofar as the famous fortress - located in Scotland in the series of books - does not exist in reality, this anomaly must be remedied.

Because as he himself says in a video presenting his project, the real main character of the saga ' is not Harry Potter but Hogwarts ». « It's not just a decoration. It is the symbol of a place where magic comes to life “says the enthusiast.

« One day at the end of 2017, I was invited to Lozère by a very good friend from there (…) and while we were strolling along the edge of a lake on which there was a railway bridge, we stalled facing a huge rock and there, in the mist, we saw Hogwarts taking shape. That's when this crazy idea came to us: what if we built Hogwarts for real? “says Valerian.

The latter therefore hopes to recreate the fantastic place to integrate a museum, a hotel-restaurant, a school or even a project incubator. All connected, as in the saga, by a railway line allowing a railway line - obviously called 'Hogwarts Express' - to transport visitors there.

Valérian contacted author J.K Rowling to tell her about his project, but he still hasn't received a response.

Not having the slightest funding, he nevertheless counts on the support and solidarity of Harry Potter fans all over the world so that his project can see the light of day.

Good luck to him.
