It all started in 2016 when Wanda Dench planned to invite her grandson to celebrate the end of the year party by sending him the following message: “Thanksgiving will be at home on November 24 from 3 p.m. Tell me if you are coming. » Only problem, because of a bad handling on her mobile, the grandmother had not realized that she had made a mistake in the number of her recipient.

It was thus, by the most total chance, that she finally met Jamal Hinton, a 17-year-old teenager. Obviously, the young man quickly realized that his interlocutor had sent him this SMS involuntarily, but the latter still asked him if he could spend Thanksgiving with his family. And against all odds, Wanda Dench responded positively! 'Of course you can, that's what grandmothers do... Welcoming and feeding everyone' did she say.
