Eddie Levine and Jing Gao first met at an e-commerce conference in Atlanta in 2016. Two years later, they shared their first kiss on the sidelines of an Amazon summit in New Orleans . And in 2020, Jing left her home in Los Angeles to move in with Eddie in Chicago, bringing their e-commerce businesses together under one roof.

Both Eddie and Jing have worked in e-commerce for over ten years. Eddie is president and co-founder of Hub Dub, which helps brands manage their online businesses and provides logistics services. Jing runs an Amazon business that sells home decor products. They are part of an active community of online sellers, consultants and service providers that has grown up around the global marketplace created by Amazon.
It was therefore logical that when they got married, they were inspired by their sector of activity. So on August 21, the couple tied the knot in Chicago, and the wedding party was riddled with Amazon references. For example, at the reception, guests were seated at tables designated by a ten-digit code (called an “ASIN” in employee lingo) used to search for products on Amazon's website. But that's not all, the wedding gifts were small packages Amazon filled with treats, placed in miniature shopping carts. Attendees posed for photos in front of a backdrop declaring 'Jeddie Prime Day' (a combination of the couples' first names), in honor of Amazon's annual party.
These references might seem somewhat abstract to some, but the couple was sure their guests would understand them, and they did. Eddie toasted during the reception: 'I said, 'Last, but certainly not least, e-commerce has brought us together. If we have met you through this work, directly or indirectly, stand up. Literally half of our guests got up” he said in an interview with CNBC.

A meeting on the background of e-commerce
Jing met Eddie at a conference in Atlanta through a consultant who was helping him with his Amazon business, and who also happened to be Eddie's friend. Over the next few months, Jing and Eddie continued to bump into each other at e-commerce conferences and developed a friendship. The latter took a romantic turn in June 2018 at Amazon's Boost conference for sellers in New Orleans. The conference coincided with Jing's 29th birthday, so he invited Eddie and some of their friends to hang out at a bar in New Orleans' historic French Quarter. That night, they kissed for the first time.
A few days later, Eddie flew from Chicago to Los Angeles for their first date. They continued to date from a distance for the next two years, until June 2020. At that time, it was the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, and jumping on a plane to meet each other every week is become particularly complicated. So they decided it was the right time to move in together. In the aftermath, in September, Eddie asked Jing in wedding at Niagara Falls. He was also the one who had the idea of a wedding inspired by the universe of Amazon. “We went through all these ideas, and they were so boring. I wanted something that showcases our journeys and pays tribute to our meeting” Levine said.
