IKEA has launched soft toys with the image of sea animals. But it's not just any stuffed animal. These were made from recycled plastic recovered directly from waterways.

The Swedish furniture company has ambition, as it wants to become more environmentally friendly by 2030. And that starts with a good initiative. IKEA has just launched a series of five stuffed animals representing the five most popular sea animals with children.

Among them, we find a blue whale, a turtle, an octopus, a dolphin and an orca which form the collection named BLÅVINGAD. This special collection aims to make the youngest (but also the not so young) aware of the importance of the conservation of marine and terrestrial species and the preservation of the seabed.

Soft toys made from recycled plastic

These very cute stuffed animals were made from plastic recycled, fished out of rivers before it reaches the oceans . Their selling price is thus more affordable. For example, the dolphin is priced at 4.99 euros while the blue whale plush measuring one meter in length is priced at 24.99 euros.

The stuffed animals are available on the site from IKEA, which also offers a fishing game, modeling clay shells and coloring rolls inspired by sea animals.
