Gender neutral uniforms
From now on, airline personnel will be able to wear the uniform that he wishes. They will have the choice between two options: the red option consisting of a red top and a red skirt or the burgundy option, consisting of a burgundy top and pants. This novelty marks the end of gendered uniforms and stewards will be able to wear skirts and flight attendants pants if they wish.

The purpose of this change is to allow staff to “wearing uniforms that express their true identity” . A new measure that already pleases the crew members.
“The updated gender identity policy is so important to me , said Jaime Forsstroem, of the Virgin Atlantic crew. As a non-binary person, it allows me to be myself at work and choose the uniform I wear. »
The choice of pronouns
In addition to the uniforms, optional pronoun badges are also going to be given out. Thus, the staff will be able to choose the pronoun with which he prefers to be named and the pronouns 'sir' and 'madam' will no longer be systematic. Airline customers will also be able to benefit from this option if they hold a passport with gender-neutral markers.
“At Virgin Atlantic, we believe anyone can conquer the world, no matter who they are , explained Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic. This is why it is so important that we allow our employees to embrace their individuality and be themselves at work. It is for this reason that we want to allow our employees to wear the uniform that best suits them and that they can be called with their preferred pronouns. »
