Emma”, the Queen's favorite pony accompanied the Queen's funeral procession
Accompanied by the Queen's official groom, the animal nicknamed 'Emma' was able to say a last goodbye to his mistress who loved him so much.
The equine also made the trip between Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle, about forty kilometers apart, accompanying the transfer of the royal remains.
Both corgis adored by the Queen, Sandy and Muick, were also on the trip.

According to the British media The Independant , Elizabeth II, whose love for horses and riding is well established, was still riding 'Emma' not long ago despite her advanced age. This pony , with a magnificent black coat, is of the Fell breed and was raised on a famous farm, located in the English mountains of the county of Cumbria, in the north-west of England.
In this renowned farm, the Fells, renowned for their intelligence and endurance, live in semi-freedom in the purest tradition of the Vikings, who once populated the region. Emma therefore descends from a long and noble line of ponies!

Now that the Queen is no more, the equine, property of the royal family, will delight the granddaughters of the late sovereign who have already ridden it time and time again in the past.
