A Thai content creator has been the subject of a YouTube scandal after filming herself eating a bat. Because of his gesture, the Youtubeuse risks very big.

On Youtube, many categories exist to entertain viewers, including the 'mukbang', which consists of filming yourself eating. This practice is particularly popular in Asia. Generally, Youtubers in this category eat gargantuan quantities or dishes that are out of the ordinary.

This is the case of content creator Phonchanok Srisunaklua, of Thai origin, who published a video on her channel Gin Zap Bep Nua Nuaqui, which scandalized the web.

She films herself eating bats

In the video, which lasts 1 minute and 40 seconds, we can see the young woman in front of a bowl containing… soup of bat . In the container, you can see the animals dead, floating in mush accompanied by cherry tomatoes. The video, which was deleted by the social network, showed the young woman crunching the animals.

This sequence shocked the web and the video was reported several times before being deleted. She also received many negative comments from Internet users who alerted the young woman to the high health risk of her approach. In addition to being prohibited, it is very dangerous to eat bats.

“This should not happen in Thailand or anywhere else in the world , said Pattaraphon Manee-on, veterinarian. This is very risky behavior, especially since bats have many pathogens. Simply touching saliva, blood and skin is considered risky. »

She faces five years in prison

Finally, the Youtubeuse was arrested and indicted for 'possession of carcasses of protected wild animals' and 'violations of the law on computer crimes'. Although she apologized, she faces up to five years in prison and a $13,800 fine.

In addition to endangering her life, and perhaps that of others, the young woman also broke the law since in Thailand, bats are animals protégés .
