Isère: walkers go to pick chestnuts and discover by chance 61 soaps of cannabis resin

Sunday, September 9, a funny scene occurred in Vienne: while they were looking for chestnuts, walkers discovered by chance soap bars of…cannabis resin!
The facts took place on Sunday October 9 near the chemin de la papette in Vienne, in Isère. That day, walkers made it their mission to pick up chestnuts . And the least we can say is that they were far from imagining that their afternoon was about to take a completely different turn.

Walkers come across cannabis
Indeed, while they were harvesting the chestnuts, the onlookers discovered 61 resin soaps of cannabis , report our colleagues from Dauphiné. As the regional daily specifies, this find represents approximately 5.4 kilograms of drugs.
Faced with this situation, the collectors hastened to contact the police. From then on, a team from the BAC (anti-crime brigade, editor's note) was dispatched to the scene to ascertain the facts. One thing is certain: walkers will never forget this moment.

Last March, a truck driver was arrested at a rest area on the A7, in Auberives-sur-Varèze (Isère). The reason ? The latter had hidden 145 kilograms of cannabis in his vehicle which was transporting grape juice, explained at the time the Dauphine Libere . As a result, he was sentenced to 15 months in prison and a customs fine of 253,000 euros.
