Through her publications, she teaches Internet users how to react to a shark and aims to demonize the species.

Recently, Ocean was preparing to dive at Hawaii when she came face to face with a tiger shark. This meeting was filmed by his companion, and the video is impressive.

A tiger shark greets the diver

The tiger shark is an animal that measures between 3 and 4 meters, although the largest specimens can measure up to 5 meters in length and weigh 900 kilos. It is a fearsome predator with powerful jaws and large teeth that eats sea turtles, other sharks , fish, birds and other marine mammals. Its aggressive and unpredictable side makes it one of the most dangerous sharks in the world.

On the video filmed by the companion of Ocean, we can see the young woman on board a boat, equipped with a diving suit. Before submerging, Ocean puts his head under water to make sure there is no danger around the boat. Immediately, she jumps out of the water, and seconds later, a large tiger shark leaps out of the water.

A harmless gesture from the shark

This shark is a well-known female from Ocean, who named her Queen Nikki. Over time, a special relationship has been formed between the diver and the animal, who have been swimming together for decades. By posting this video on her social networks, Ocean insisted that Queen Nikki's behavior was not an attack at all.

“The take home message from this video is how amazing sharks are , she said. We can coexist, it just has to be done with respect for their important role as predators. They are not monsters. I have dived with this shark for several decades and I don't want people to get the wrong idea about sharks, or her. »

As the diver also clarified, sharks are animals that deserve to be protected. However, more than 100 million sharks are killed each year, which has a devastating effect on ecosystems.
