The social network Twitter has just banned a user who posted a racist tweet against the new interpreter of Ariel, in the live action version of Disney.

Decidedly, the choice of the African-American actress Halle Bailey in the role of Ariel has not finished being controversial, and some people are having a great time attacking the actress. Since the release of the trailer for the live-action remake “ The little Mermaid “, the new Disney princess has become the target of hateful and racist comments on social networks.

While the controversy does not deflate, Twitter has taken the decision to ban an account which shared a short video 'laundering' the 22-year-old singer, report our colleagues from BFM TV.

A racist practice strongly condemned by Twitter

The author of this montage, known under the pseudonym of @TenGazillionIQ, used artificial intelligence to whitewash the daughter of King Triton. Like the cartoon character released in 1989, the mermaid sports white skin and red hair. As the news site specifies, a user had fun relaying a screenshot of the initial tweet with the following caption:

« Kudos to our artificial scientist @TenGazillionIQ. He fixed the Little Mermaid and turned the woke actress into a redhead and white girl. He says he is able to fix the whole movie within 24 hours of its release. It's over for wokists ».

Faced with this situation, Twitter has chosen to close the account of the person behind the tweet for violating the rules of the social network, explains the chain. For his part, @TenGazillionIQ still has a bright future ahead of him on the platform. Indeed, the latter has never shared the clip. Therefore, his account is still active.
