Kirsten Durand and Troy Parker from Vancouver, Canada, who run a joint TikTok account as @tandkay021, posted a video showing how their engagement shoot turned into a three-plus-hour search for their diamond ring, before their photographer, Yakira Parise, ended up finding the jewel using a snapshot she had just taken.

The clip, which has racked up 23.7 million views, reveals how their photographer captured the exact moment the ring flew out of the box in a photo unbelievable. In the latter, the bride-to-be is seen jumping excitedly into her groom's arms, causing him to fall to the ground and the ring to fly out of his hand before falling back into the sand. A second image shows the ring landing on the ground next to the lovers.

When they all realized the jewel was missing, Yakira, Kirsten, and Troy began frantically searching for the ring. Kirsten enlisted the help of her sisters, while the photographer even asked her stepfather to come with his metal detector to help with the search. And when we know that the ring was paid for 16,000 euros by the husband, we can understand the panic. Eventually, after hours of searching, it was the photographer who found the ring after re-studying her photos and figuring out the exact spot where it had landed.

The couple called relatives and a neighbor, they arrived at the beach with colanders to help sift through the sand and find the diamond ring. Meanwhile, the photographer asked her stepfather to come to the beach with his metal detector. “I remembered my stepfather had a metal detector so I called my mum and they came down and helped us search for almost 3 hours. After two and a half hours, we still hadn't found it, and we were starting to feel cold and desperate” she says.

The ring found by miracle

Shortly after starting to search for the jewel, Yakira realized she had filmed the moment Kirsten and Troy lost the diamond ring. Fortunately, the photographer ended up finding the Ring of the bride after closely inspecting the photos she had taken again. “A few minutes after searching desperately in the sand, I checked my camera to see if we could spot where it had landed. Eventually I found it sifting through the sand with my hands, I could hardly believe it! I was so incredibly relieved and grateful” she confided.
