Shazam is 20 years old this year and the famous application has officially exceeded 70 billion song recognitions. A pillar of popular culture, the platform has changed the way people experience music by making song identification accessible to everyone.
To mark the occasion, the app used by 225 million people worldwide each month invites fans to take a trip back in time with a special playlist available on Apple Music featuring the most Shazed song of each calendar year. over the past 20 years. From Train's 'Hey, Soul Sister' to Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' to Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep,' the playlist is a true reflection of the music fans have been actively seeking over the of the last two decades.
Drake is the most Shazamed artist of all time with more than 350 million Shazams on songs he produced or was directly involved in. 'One Dance' is Drake's most popular track with over 17 million shazams. Regarding the music the most Shazamed of all time, it's 'Dance Monkey' by Tones And I with over 41 million searches.
