Tyson and Holyfield make fun of their passive by throwing candy in the shape of severed ears.

25 years after giving us one of the most unlikely moments in sports history, Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield have chosen self-mockery, teaming up to launch a range of sweets shaped… like an ear.

Remember on June 28, 1997, in an overheated MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the two legendary boxers faced off for the WBA heavyweight title, during a legendary fight that would go down in history.

During the third round, this fierce clash indeed took an unlikely turn when Mike Tyson, who had the upper hand, literally freaked out by biting his opponent in the ear twice under the dumbfounded eyes of millions of viewers.

A shocking image, especially since the Brooklyn native had torn off a piece of his opponent's ear.

Passed since to posterity, this unforgettable sequence of bites had toured the world, even becoming the subject of numerous parodies.

At the time, the rivalry - not to say hatred - between the two world heavyweight champions was at its height.

A quarter of a century later, water has flowed under the bridges. The old enemies have buried the hatchet and they prove it with a common project that is not lacking in humor.

The two legendary boxers have thus launched a range of cannabis candies in the shape of an ear, in reference to this spectacular incident which will have marked the history of the boxing and beyond.

And as the two sportsmen have an eye for detail and realism, they made sure that these “ears” were… partly cut off.

Available on the Tyson 2.0 Global website, these sweets are sold for 29 euros per pack and come in three flavors.
