FIFA World Cup 2014 was an exciting football tournament which concluded after Germany won the final match against Argentina.

In Quarter-finals eight teams namely France, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, Costa Rica contested to qualify for the semifinals in this soccer tournament. The four teams which progress and to semifinals where Brazil, Germany, Netherlands and Argentina. In semifinals Germany humiliate Brazil by winning 1-7 goals and the home country was sad to see Brazil go out of the tournament this way, it lost to Germany buys six gold difference which is huge in any major tournament of football. In the other semi-final Argentina beat Netherlands and penalty shootouts. Brazil couldn’t win against Netherlands for the third place in the tournament and where placed fourth. And it was a grand final on 13 July 2014 were Germany and Argentina fight outfor the World Cup, but after full-time there where no goals scored by each team, so referee decided to give extra time, in 113 minutes Gotze of Germany scored a golden goal for his team which won the World Cup. Messi who led Argentina went home without the World Cup and it was a sad moment for the Argentina people.

The next FIFA World Cup 2018 will be held in Russia and the preparations are going in full swing, till now only Russia has been qualified for the World Cup as they are hosts.
